Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received every A grade on her A level exams. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. Coleman, while still in the high school system, was part of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. She was awarded an award for her performance while the play was also well-received. Coleman is auditioning to join drama colleges in 2005, got Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was twice nominated for prizes in the year 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and during the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of Most Popular Newcomer. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female in addition to the Best acting in a Drama. Coleman received the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news conference held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman was to take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to play the role of companion because she would be the best companion for Smith. In addition, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the world of entertainment since 1987. But she's been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva was in a number of characters on TV, however two stand out in particular: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vistas for CSI Miami.
