Wallen was born on May 13, 1993 in Sneedville, Tennessee. He is the child of pastor Tommy Wallen (father) and Leslie Wallen. He has three sister Ashlyne Mikaela and Lacey who was adoptive by the parents in in 2021. Wallen started to sing in his church as a child and also took piano and violin lessons.
