Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Two of her earliest television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the role. Her parents, however, did not allow her to act until she turned an adult because of the effects stress would be able to have on their daughter. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness brought Perry home to California and theater roles were readily available. Perry performed with her mom on stage in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she was a part-time character in the ABC political drama Scandal in which her father was the main character. The actress also portrayed in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the role via an audition.
